Classes at Old Common Yoga are small so that your individual needs can be met and modifications made as needed. Each class is appropriate for everyone regardless of ones shape, size, age, or flexibility.

Beginner Hatha Yoga
Beginner Hatha Yoga classes provide the basics to yoga practice. These classes will teach you the basic poses, breathing, and relaxation exercises for any body to have a good workout. No yoga experience is requred for this class.

All-Levels and Intermediate Hatha Yoga

Intermediate Hatha Yoga classes assume that the student is familiar with the basic poses. We will incorporate flow to the poses and variation into the program.

Restorative
A gentle yoga class that restores the body through gentle breathing, stretches and simple postures. Props are used to help the body relax. Good for all ages, no previous yoga experience required. (Props are supplied by Old Common Yoga, but you do need your own mat.)

Private Yoga
A one-on-one yoga session with individual attention just for you.

Yoga Therapy
Yoga Therapy is a program where the teacher works privately with you to determine your particular body make-up and areas of concern. Each Yoga session is geared just for your particular needs helping you achieve a more balanced life. For more information or to set up an appointment, please contact us.

Reiki

Reiki (Ray-key) is an ancient healing art. It is a gentle, non invasive hands-on energy transfer technique that boosts well being and recovery. A Reiki energy session vitalizes the body to allow the body to operate in a stronger, more normal and balanced way. Reiki is excellent for people recovering from surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, migraine headaches or any other malaise or body imbalances.

General Guidelines for Classes:

  • Please bring your own mat.
  • Do not eat heavily for a least two hours before class.
  • Drink plenty of water before and after class.
  • For the comfort of others please do not wear perfume or after-shave.
  • Listen to your body.
